One Fine Day

Finally, I’ve come up with my own theme for my blog. Haih… What a pity blog. I focused so much on my studio that I’ve been neglecting you. Che song ham ni da! Don’t be upset, little blog. See, I’ve made you a new cloth. :)

Talking about this new theme, I’ve decided to name it One Fine Day. I made this theme today and released it on the same day. It took me 3 hours to transfrom it from an empty page template into a complete CSS layout and finally a complete functioning Wordpress theme. I started the coding process at 9.00 AM until 11.00 AM. Then I stopped for classes. I continued the job at 6.00 PM and by 7.00 PM, I’m done with a complete Wordpress theme with all the plugins integrated in it. Phew~ This is the fastest time I’ve ever clocked when making a Wordpress theme. :)

If you have been on my studio, you’ll notice the similarities between this theme and the Whitepaper theme I used on my studio, especially the sidebar part. My current favourite style, I would say. Another obvious part you should notice is the nature elements used in most of my designs. I’m a nature lover (and a cats lover too) and I feel very calm to be surrounded by the nature, especially the very greenish trees and very colourful flowers, that I’ve decided to make them as one of the elements in my designs. Besides, green is my favourite colour.

I have managed to add some new features on this theme that I have never used before. For example, the ajax comment. A year ago, I tried to integrate ajax comment function into my theme but I failed. This time, I managed to successfully integrate the ajax comment on both my blog theme and studio theme. I feel good. Thanks to Ikoko-san for her suggestion. Oh, she suggested me to add Gravatar and ajax comment on my theme. And thanks to Zeo for the simple ajax comment tutorial.

The second thing is, I finally found a way to plug entries from my studio here (using RSS) by using SimplePie plugin. So you can keep track of what’s going on at my studio.

Okay, enough about the themes. My housemates just came back from an inter-college handball match with the First College or famously known as Kolej Mohammad Rashid (KMR). They represented our Seventeenth College and guess what? We won the game! Heh, who says medicine faculty students are slow and inactive? Who says we cannot play? Yayaya… We won the game… :P

Ice Chocolate Wordpress Theme Released

Filed in Wordpress | Published on 9:08 pm | 19 Comments | 24 views

Hi friends. How are you guys doing? Things are quite busy here as expected once I return to university after holiday. What keeps me busy apart of my designing works and studies is Management meeting. I’m one of the comittee under protocol and programs for our Management trip/assignment to Malacca this March. Selagi tak selesai, selagi tu lah kena pegi meeting. :P

To Ikoko-san and Niezzam, I know I owe you guys a tag. Don’t worry. I’ll definitely answer it when the time comes. Heheh.

By the way, this is the main point. :P I have successfully released my third Wordpress theme, Ice Chocolate. It’s a two column theme with blue and chocolate as the main colors. Well, the name explains it. As usual, this theme is CSS and XHTML valid. Yay! :D
