Until today, there are 13714 page views and 6610 visits since I first installed this plugin (FireStats) on March 12, 2008.

I would like to comment on the Browsers section. I found that more than 50% of my blog visitors are using Internet Explorer rather than Firefox. It’s fine with me. I don’t hate people who love IE. However, the fact that most of them are using Internet Explorer 6.0 is quite disappointing. Why? Because IE6 and below don’t follow webstandars. They don’t display the web properly as what have been coded by the web developers and designers. That’s sickening. IE6 and below make websites look ugly when they’re not. What more, IE6 (and IE5.5) don’t support PNG images.

If you’re concern enough, the header image I’m using on my blog here is a PNG image. How did I make it rendered nicely in IE6? Of course I have to use javascript trick! And do you know how suffer I am just to make that work? So I would recommend those IE lovers to update their IE to at least IE7, because IE7 (and above) are much better and more compliant. They display the web (almost) exactly as what have been coded, nicer, and they support PNG images.

Firefox has been my browser of choice since I learnt about webstandards and standard compliant web browsers. And yes, I’m happy with Firefox and I have no intention in changing to other browsers, even tough they are standard compliant browsers too.

To all Firefox users, lets continue with Firefox and help to spread the words!
